Let's Meet!

We are delighted that you are interested in learning more about Mathematics Institute of the Triangle. Let's meet with your child(ren) and you to get to know each other a bit, see what we offer, and assess how we can best serve your child.

You received this link after we picked a time to meet or in anticipation of doing so. Please bring 4 or 5 colored pencils.

Let's meet at the school's location of the Sancar Turkish Cultural and Community Center at 1609 E. Franklin Street in Chapel Hill, NC. It is about 1/4 mile from Whole Foods Market (directions). Please ring the bell to the right of the main entrance when you arrive if the doors are closed.

  • If coming from route 40 and then 15/501, take 15/501 toward Chapel Hill and at the fork bear right onto Franklin Street. Just ahead is Staples and Whole Foods on your left; the Sancar Center is just beyond the light at Elliott Road on your right.
  • If coming from UNC, pass Estes Dr (the library is off Estes to your left), then, on your left, Il Palio, Siena Hotel, Sherwin-Williams Paint, and Franklin Woods Apartments. The Ballet School of Chapel Hill is just beyond that on the left and right after that is the Sancar Center, also on the left.
  • The Sancar Center is easily accessible by Chapel Hill Transit's CL Route or, alternatively, the D Route (these buses are free; you just get on without having to pay or show any token). It's easiest to use the stop at Elliott and Franklin at the corner of the Whole Foods Market shopping center, but any stop on Franklin between Estes and Elliott will be close.

Our meetings, including a tour of the Center, generally last 75-90 minutes though we often have so much fun talking and enjoying math that they can go over. We look forward to meeting you!
