About Us

Experienced Educators who know how to share the Joy of Math

All of our teachers know their material; they all have advanced degrees in their field and have taught for years. Sure, 1+1 = 2, but math is at its core a FUN exploration full of puzzles, exciting logic, and connections to the world around us. Our teachers all have experience teaching math classes, working with grades 1-12 children and sharing how fun math is.

Fun with Proven Curricula

We use the Art of Problem Solving books (here is a sample evaluation) along with material that we have developed ourselves and taught for grades 1-12. We love reaching anybody interested in math and start off with a personal assessment to help us place you in an appropriate level math class.

It's All in the Family

Our classes are small, never more than 15 students. Your child's education is a team effort. Through our learning management system you will know week-to-week what your child is working on and what her/his homework is. Children and their families can review each lesson and have a central place to submit homework and get and send messages for their math classes.

Beautiful and Convenient Space

We rent classroom space from the Sancar Turkish Cultural and Community Center about a quarter mile from Whole Foods Market in Chapel Hill.

It's easy to find; you can check directions. The Chapel Hill Public Library, Whole Foods Market, several coffeeshops, and stores and restaurants are very close, and downtown Chapel Hill and Carrboro are not far.
